On Wednesday evening, September 10, the Arizona Scorpions will play the undefeated Queens Pioneers. The Scorpions will be pursuing their second USCL win from a new location which is in Mesa, Arizona; a suburb of Phoenix.
The Scorpions team composition will also be changed from the previous games. On board 1, Rogelio Barcenilla, with a 2560 rating will have 100+ point disadvantage to his Queens opponent. Whereas, on board 3 Danny Rensch, rated 2411, will have a 200+ point cushion over his opponent!
Boards 2 and 4 are better balanced and have the potential to be the boards where the match gets decided. Mark Ginsburg, with a 2414 rating will play board 2 and will be looking to sting his Pioneer opponent. Leo Martinez, with a 2222 rating will be playing board 4 and trying to prevent his Pioneer opponent from finding any Gold in the Arizona desert.
Go Scorpions! Put those Pioneers on a Stage Coach and send them back to Queens!
