So, the Scorpions brought the heat and toasted the Sharks in week 1 (2.5 to 1.5). Now, onward to another 9 weeks of top level chess from the Scorpions!
Results were: Barcenilla lost on board 1; Aldama won on board 2; Rensch won on board 3; Gurczak drew on board 4.

Arizona's next game is scheduled for Monday, Aug.30 at 6 p.m. MST. It is with the Seattle Sluggers who went down to defeat against the Chicago Blaze this week (1.5 to 2.5). The Scorpions will need to be cautious and field a strong group of players for the match next Monday. The Sluggers will be anxious to get a win and will be looking to slug our Scorpions right off the boards!
